Activities in the Air Training Corps

There are many different activities available as an air cadet or member of staff with the Air Cadet Organisation. Too many to discuss in detail on these pages. As well as Flying, Gliding and many other exciting activities such as fieldcraft and adventure training most Squadrons undertake other activities such as projects to enhance their learning.

Some of the activities you can undertake are detailed below:

Air Experience Flying
Flying Scholarships
Air Experience Gliding
Gliding Scholarships
Communications
Website Building
Aeromodelling
Aircraft Recognition
Sports
Adventure Training
Rock Climbing
Canoeing

As you can see the list above is long but not exhaustive. Chances are if you can think of an activity, the Air Training Corps do it in one form or another. To find out more about if there's an acitivty you're interested in being undertaken at a Squadron near you why not contact your local Squadron via the Air Cadet Organisation website?

Staff also have the opportunity to take part in activities to provide qualifications to allow them to safely and competently lead the cadets in the activities they wish to take part in. One of the benefits of gaining qualifications with the ACO is that the majority of these are national qualifications meaning that you are not restricted to using your new found skills with just the ACO.
